Shipping Across India

We ship to every corner of India - from metro cities to small towns. If there's a pin code, we can probably ship there. We've partnered with multiple courier services because we've learned that no single courier is perfect everywhere. Depending on where you're located, we'll use whoever gets packages there fastest and most reliably.

Metro Cities

Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Chennai, Kolkata, Hyderabad, Pune - usually 2-3 business days

Tier 2 Cities

Most state capitals and major cities - typically 3-4 business days

Other Locations

Smaller towns and rural areas - generally 5-7 business days

Free Shipping Threshold

Orders above ₹2,999 get free shipping anywhere in India. No catches, no fine print. Below that amount, shipping charges are calculated based on weight and delivery location - usually between ₹99 to ₹299. The exact amount shows up at checkout before you pay, so there won't be any surprises.

Pro Tip

If your cart is hovering around ₹2,500-2,800, it's usually worth adding another small item to cross the free shipping threshold. Even a bottle of engine oil or an air freshener can save you the shipping cost and be useful to have anyway.

Processing Time

Here's our typical timeline from when you click "Order" to when the package leaves our facility:

Orders placed on weekends and public holidays will be processed on the next business day. We're not robots, and our warehouse team deserves their time off.

Tracking Your Order

Once your order ships, you'll get a tracking number via email and SMS. You can track it directly on the courier's website, or through your AutoGenuine account dashboard. The tracking updates usually happen every few hours as your package moves through various hubs.

Sometimes tracking can be a bit glitchy - it might show "out for delivery" for two days straight, or jump from one city to another overnight. Don't panic. These systems aren't perfect, but they're mostly accurate. If you haven't received any tracking updates for 2-3 days, that's when you should reach out to us.

What If You're Not Home?

Delivery persons usually make three attempts to deliver. If you miss all three, the package gets sent back to their hub and you'll need to either pick it up from there or reschedule delivery. Some courier services allow you to redirect packages to a different address or hold them at a nearby pickup point - these options show up in your tracking portal.

Honestly, if you know you won't be home, it's easier to provide an alternative delivery address at checkout. Send it to your office, a friend's place, or anywhere someone will be around to receive it during business hours.

Expedited Shipping

Need your parts urgently? We offer expedited shipping to most metro cities. This guarantees next-day or same-day delivery depending on when you order. The cost varies but typically ranges from ₹499 to ₹999. You'll see this option at checkout if it's available for your location.

Same-Day Delivery

Available only in Mumbai, Delhi NCR, and Bangalore. Order before 11 AM on business days, and we'll do our best to get it to you the same day. This service costs ₹999 and is subject to availability. Call us to confirm before placing your order if timing is critical.

Cash on Delivery (COD)

Yes, we offer COD across India. There's a small handling fee of ₹50 for COD orders because, honestly, it creates extra work for us and the courier. But we get that some people prefer to pay when they receive their goods, especially for first-time orders, so we keep the option available.

COD orders might take an extra day to process because we verify the order details more carefully. This is just to protect both of us from fraudulent orders.

Packaging Standards

Car parts can be heavy, oddly shaped, and sometimes fragile. We don't mess around with packaging. Every order gets:

What If Something Arrives Damaged?

Despite our best efforts, sometimes couriers drop packages or throw them around. If your package arrives visibly damaged:

  1. Don't sign for it - Refuse delivery and note "damaged package" on the delivery sheet
  2. Take photos - If you've already signed, immediately photograph the damaged packaging and the item
  3. Contact us within 24 hours - Email photos to support@autogenuine.in
  4. We'll send a replacement - No arguments, no hassles. You'll get a new part shipped out immediately

International Shipping

We currently don't ship outside India. We've looked into it, but import duties, customs paperwork, and shipping costs make it impractical for most car parts. If you're located outside India and desperately need something we stock, contact us anyway - we might be able to work something out for high-value orders.

Restricted Items

Some items have shipping restrictions due to safety regulations:

Holiday and Festival Delays

During major festivals (Diwali, Holi, etc.) and holiday seasons, courier services get slammed. Expect delays of 2-4 additional days during these periods. We can't control this, and neither can the couriers - there's just way more volume than usual. We'll give you a heads-up if you order during a peak period.

Lost Packages

Very rarely, packages actually get lost. Not just delayed - actually lost. If tracking shows no movement for 7+ days, or if the courier confirms it's lost, here's what happens:

  1. We file a claim with the courier immediately
  2. While that's being processed, we ship you a replacement at no cost
  3. We deal with the courier's claim process - you don't have to do anything

Lost packages are the courier's problem, not yours. You paid for a part, you'll get that part.

Multiple Items in One Order

Sometimes different items in your order might be stocked at different warehouse locations. When this happens, we'll either hold everything until it's together (if you ordered items with free shipping), or ship separately to get parts to you faster. You'll be informed either way, and you won't pay extra shipping.

Undeliverable Addresses

Occasionally, couriers can't deliver to certain addresses - maybe the area is temporarily inaccessible, or the address details are incomplete. If this happens, we'll contact you to sort out the details. The package will be held at the courier hub while we figure it out. After a week, if we can't reach you or resolve the issue, the package returns to us and we'll refund you (minus shipping costs).

Address Tips

Make your life easier: provide a complete address with landmark, working phone number, and alternative contact number. "Near temple" isn't specific enough. "Blue gate, opposite Sharma Medical Store, lane next to SBI ATM" helps the delivery person actually find you.

Tracking Number Not Working?

Sometimes tracking numbers take 12-24 hours to activate in the courier's system. If it's been longer than that and your tracking number still shows nothing, let us know. We'll check with the courier and get you updated information.

Address Changes After Ordering

Realized you'll be somewhere else when the package arrives? Contact us immediately. If the package hasn't shipped yet, we can update the address for free. If it's already in transit, we might be able to redirect it, but the courier usually charges for this service. If it's too late to change, refuse delivery and we'll reship to your new address (you'll need to pay shipping again unless it was our mistake).
